Gallery Hours: Wednesday–Sunday, 12–6 pm
*Closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth

The Lenfest Center for the Arts is delighted to host an exhibit featuring Renzo Piano Building Workshop, developer of the Manhattanville Master Plan and designer of the Lenfest Center for the Arts, The Forum, and the Jerome L. Greene Science Center. RPBW Renzo Piano Building Workshop: Le fil rouge is a lightweight, sustainable exhibition project offering an in-depth look at selected buildings designed over the last fifty years by the RPBW. Through projects of different nature and scale, the exhibition traces the common thread that runs through drawings and models, the dialogue with specialists from every sphere of art and science, and the wonderful workshop of making that is the building site. The simple and reusable installation immerses the visitor and makes walking through the exhibition feel like reading and turning the pages of a book, each panel illustrating and marking an important chapter in the RPBW story.

Established by Pritzker Prize Laureate architect Renzo Piano in 1981, Renzo Piano Building Workshop buildings are acclaimed for a singular quality of lightness and transparency, appearing both monumental and lightweight. RPBW buildings also often integrate into the landscape combining nature and architecture. The firm is currently led by 12 partners overseeing a team of 100 architects.

An accompanying 52-minute film, Inside Renzo Piano Building Workshop, will screen at the following times:

Friday, June 7, 5 PM
