Lenfest Kids: Spring 2026

Get ready for a heartwarming season of film with curious whiskers and wagging tails. This spring, we celebrate our furry friends in Lenfest Kids: Cats & Dogs. From Dorothy’s little dog, Toto, to Shrek’s swashbuckling sidekick, Puss-in-Boots, our animal companions have been inspiring filmmakers since the dawn of cinema. We have planned a delightful series embracing our playful and mischievous four-legged companions, and the adventures they have when we’re not looking.

Leading the pack this spring: Disney’s live-action remake of their romantic classic, Lady and the Tramp (2019); Studio Ghibli’s fantastical feline frolic, The Cat Returns (2002); the big-screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s megahit meowsical Cats; the epic, Oscar-winning, journey of Flow (2024); and, for our Lenfest Teens, Wes Anderson’s intricate stop-motion adventure, Isle of Dogs (2018).

We'll be collaborating throughout the season on Free Family Fun with our student colleagues of Columbia Artist/Teachers to bring you creative activities after the films.

We invite you to…paws, and curl up with a season of family films featuring cats and dogs.  See you at the movies!

Sincerely,
Lauren Weigel
